Why one price per hour
No last look
The book closes at :58 and the pool freezes — swaps and liquidity changes both revert. Nobody can move the tick between the last order and the print.
The price is derived
The settler only proposes how far to push the pool. The hook runs one bounded swap and reads the price out of the executed delta. Push too far and the fill exceeds 1, so the transaction reverts.
Everyone gets the VWAP
Whatever the two sides crossed between themselves never touched the curve. Only the residual does, and both sides clear at its volume-weighted average.
